‘Voluntary Surrender Of Firearms:’ U.N: Panel Wants To Disarm Every Civilian On The Planet
Pat Dollard -
Excerpted from EXAMINER: One month after Secretary of State John Kerry signed the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty and just a few days after 50 U.S. senators said they will not ratify the agreement, a curious “high level panel” on Argentina’s national program for the voluntary surrender of firearms is scheduled this Thursday in a U.N. conference room in New York, Examiner learned today.
Apparently hosted by Ambassador Maria Cristina Perceval, permanent representative of Argentina to the U.N., according to the invitation obtained by this column, the gathering was described as a “side event” scheduled during the daily lunch break, from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m.
Last year, according to the U.N. Office of Drugs and Crime, Argentina authorities destroyed nearly 11,000 firearms that had been voluntarily turned in. Argentine President Cristina Fernandez Kirchner, now recovering from serious surgery, spoke last month at the U.N.

Not happening!
Only in there dreams. IMPEACH THE CRIMINAL IN CHARGE = OBAMA and arrest every Senator/Representative that violates any of our GOD GIVEN RIGHTS.
To voluntarily surrender any of our guns together with placards, slogans, raised voices and defiant attitudes as well of course. If we all were just quietly to submit to the dictates of our betters, they in turn could cut back on the surveillance, the tasers and lasers, detention and torture, the wars, the drones the bombs, chemical, biological and psychological weaponry, the genocide, the dividing and ruling….. and all the rest of it.
You’ve got to admit that’s a pretty good deal when you come to think of it. All we have to do in return is to shut up, obey their every command without complaint, and quietly die as and when they no longer have any use for us.
As I said, not happening! I get to meet other shooters now and again, mostly when I’m picking up ammo. They are all decent people. However, the one recurring theme in conversations is, how certain Superintendents are being silly about civilian firearm ownership and the UN threat to freedom, that is it! The shooting community are aware of this UN generated trend and I do not think for one moment that people will comply. Even if they go the mandatory route, it will end in disaster. There are 200, 000 firearms in civilian control in Ireland and any ‘voluntary’ scheme or legislated scheme will be resisted by the majority of sportsmen and women. Add to this the recent truth speak from the head of Interpol http://www.infowars.com/interpol-chief-arm-citizens-globally-to-prevent-terror-attacks/
Also, the statistics show that an armed populace tend not to be the victims of crime
http://rense.com/general76/univ.htm There is no logical reason to alter the system as it stands, other than (as the statistics show) to encourage firearms ownership and to attach to ownership, proper safety training and tactical training in line with the best international practice.
In the case of home protection I suggest this solution; every home owner, or someone with a long term rental agreement. Should be allowed a small calibre semi automatic weapon (say .22 short http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.22_Short) that can be worn on a belt in a secure holster, IN PLAIN VIEW (ie, Open carry so there is no doubt), within the curtilage of the home and within a radius of the home (to be decided by legislation, I would suggest 8Km) with the magazine removed OR with the mag in but with safety on. This is so that in the real world I wouldn’t have to take the gun off and secure it, if I needed to pop to the village for milk etc. Also, it would get people used to seeing guns carried by people they know and most likely trust (Neighbours and family). We need to lose the fear of guns, having decent and trustworthy people in the community carrying guns would change the dynamic. The only time people see guns is in these scenarios; 1, cash in transit with army support, 2, armed cops and 3, armed criminals. This is not psychologically healthy.
The REALITY is that no one with a gun ever wants to shoot another human being, full stop. We leave that nonsense to government! There is no risk to society from legally held firearms, (supported by Statistics and FACTS). The people who say, ‘Only the cops should have guns’ are both idiots and victims and I have NO time for them and their dimwit attitudes that can not be supported by FACT!
Disarming the civilian population? Good luck with that! My arse!
